Apples in water to stay cool!

I dont have a picture of maman's house, this is a typical house in some parts of Iran, these goldoons(plants) are found in almost every house! befarmaid hendevaneh as mother used to say!! At my grandma's house they would throw the uncut hendooneh in water and also had a abanbar, a place to store water. Their plants were mostly yas and aghajoon would pick them and put them in a plate every morning. Later on we would take a broom sticks(choop jaroo) and /or some needle and thread and make a neckless out of yas flowers. Also in their house were some marmoolaks(lizards) and they said if you laugh and marmoolak counts your teeth you will die! I tried to look at them on the wall always with my mouth shut!!
